“Disease of kings”: sources say Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin is seriously ill

The media reported that 67-year-old Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin is increasingly plagued by the "disease of kings" – gout.

When the mayor showed Putin a driverless train last weekend, it was clearly noticeable that he was having great difficulty walking and experiencing pain with every step.

Media previously reported that the owner of Tverskaya 13 has recently been preferring to wear special shoes, sneakers, or slippers due to his condition – regular shoes are no longer suitable due to constant attacks and swelling in his joints and feet. Even at an official event with Putin, Sobyanin chose to wear sneakers with a formal suit. And not the cheapest kind. The mayor is wearing Brunello Cucinelli sneakers, valued at approximately $2,000.

Sources of the media reported that the Moscow mayor’s nighttime gout attacks have increased significantly recently, affecting his kidneys and heart. With this diagnosis and constant attacks of pain, he is often unable to work full-time.
