In Argentina, 66-year-old parliamentary candidate Hernán Damiani has passed away. The politician collapsed during a live-broadcast debate.

According to Pagina12, “The candidate for deputy from the province of Misiones died last night after fainting during a debate with opponents that was streamed live.”

During his speech, Damiani suddenly lost consciousness — later it was revealed that he had suffered a heart attack. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but doctors reported that he arrived with no signs of life.

Governor of Misiones province Hugo Passalacqua expressed deep sorrow over the politician’s death, noting his dedication, active civic engagement, and steadfast convictions.
