27-year-old man dies in Ensor’s Pool in Warwickshire
A man has died after disappearing beneath the water at a popular pool in Warwickshire.
Wojciech Berlan, 27, got into difficulty in the water at Ensor’s Pool in Nuneaton on Sunday afternoon.
Other swimmers said Wojciech failed to resurface after about five minutes under the water, which is when the alarm was raised.
Police and other emergency services rushed to the scene at about 12,30pm.
Wojciech, who is from Redditch, was pulled from the water but was confirmed dead about an hour later.
Warwickshire Police say his next of kin have been told and they are investigating on behalf of the coroner.
The force is also asking anyone who saw the incident to get in touch.
His death comes after two children drowned in England’s waterways in separate incidents over the weekend.
