Madonna fans rage over 'extortionate' tour price tickets amid buying frenzy
Tickets for Madonna's much-anticipated new tour have gone on sale this week and some fans have criticised the pricing of the upcoming performances.
It was announced earlier this week that the singer, 64, would embark on a world tour, titled Celebration, in the coming months - including performances within Europe.
The tour was initially due to visit the O2 Arena in London on one occasion, but three additional dates have since been added to the schedule. All four dates are in October.
Following a pre-sale yesterday, tickets went on general sale this morning through the likes of Live Nation - with fans of Madonna having virtually queued to get hold of them.

Premium packages have been available which cost more, with the most expensive of these listed as 'The Immaculate VIP Package' - which has been priced at £1,307.75 each.
It includes a "premium reserved ticket" in the first 5 rows from the main stage, a behind the scenes tour and other perks. It doesn't include a meet and greet with Madonna.

Although many fans will be thrilled to have got tickets, there has been some criticism over the cost. A number of people took to Twitter earlier to share their thoughts.
The prices were dubbed "ridiculous," "an absolute joke" and "insane" by some on the platform. One fan wrote: "Price of tickets is obscene". Another said: "[The] price is so expensive".
Another shared a photo of the prices during a pre-sale of the tickets yesterday, with them having written at the time: "Completely sold out but look at these prices!"
"Way too expensive," tweeted one fan this morning. Whilst another person said on the platform that they even left the virtual queue for tickets earlier after they saw the prices.
One fan said: "People who got [tickets] - have you just been paid? Because affording tickets THAT expensive in the longest month between paydays seems unbelievable to me."
Others however didn't see an issue. One fan - whose ticket was priced at £125 - said it was "reasonable enough". Another said the price they paid was "worth it" to finally see her.

Madonna is set to perform at the O2 Arena in London for four nights on October 14, 15, 17 and 18.
