Ekin-Su cries as she becomes third star to leave Dancing On Ice
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has become the third celebrity to leave Dancing On Ice after a tense skate off.
The two celebrities found themselves in the dreaded skate off this evening after the judges - Oti Mabuse, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean - gave their verdict on their dance-inspired routines. Their scores combined with the public vote saw the two stars forced to skate again before the judges chose who they wanted to save.
It is the third exit in the competition, with John Fashanu having left in the second week and Michelle Heaton last week, with the former Liberty X singer admitting she was gutted to have left. Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Patsy Palmer had to skate again.
In tears, Holly and Phil rushed over to hug her and told her she should feel very proud of her performance.
She admitted: "We put so much time into it and my other work commitments and I really gave everything to this."

Ekin-Su had previously explained how she'd love to win the show, and when asked if she was in it to win it, she admitted: "Yes I am, otherwise I’m not doing it. I don’t mind going home early but my mind doesn’t work like that. If I’m doing it, I’m putting 100% in. I’m going to believe in myself, I believe in myself so much."
It was a disappointing week last week for EastEnders star Patsy Palmer, who found herself close to exiting the show. She had danced to Defying Gravity from Wicked, dressed as Elphaba, and unfortunately suffered a fall mid-way through the routine.
Her professional skating partner Matt Evers quickly picked her up and the pair continued skating, with Patsy insisting to the hosts and judges after the dance, that she was doing fine and falls were part of life.
"I'm ok, it's life, you fall, you get up, you carry on, it's amazing," she said while speaking to the judges after the performance.
Creative director of the show Dan Whiston admitted that Patsy's fall had knocked her confidence a little.
"Patsy unfortunately took a tumble at the end of her performance and demonstrated nerves of steel when she got back up and finished her routine mid-air," he said earlier this week of the actress.
"We may have to rebuild her confidence this week as she was a bit shaken up after the show."
