£50k Birmingham cannabis farm discovered during burglary callout

Two men were arrested after police discovered a cannabis farm during a 999 call to a burglary. Officers attended an address on Glebe Farm Road in Stechford, around 12.40am on Saturday (Dec 28).
They found 50 cannabis plants -said to be worth around £50,000- growing at the property. Two assailants quickly made off but were detained.
The males aged 19 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in custody. The crop will be destoyed.
A West Midlands Police statement said: "We’ve arrested two men and discovered a drugs farm following swift work in Birmingham this morning (28 December). We were alerted to a burglary at an address in Glebe Farm Road, Stechford, at just before 12.40am.
"Officers quickly attended and two men who tried to make off from the area were arrested shortly afterwards. At the property we found around 50 cannabis plants which will be destroyed.
"Two men aged 19 and 20 have been detained on suspicion of burglary and remain in police custody for questioning."
