A killer is on the loose after breaching his licence conditions as police issue an urgent "do not approach" warning.

Shaun Walker was jailed for the manslaughter of a man after headbutting him in a row over a moped. He has now been recalled to prison after breaching his licence conditions, Gwent Police say. 

Walker, 29, is from Newport, south Wales and it was in the Maindee area of the city where Walker punched his victim Barry Thomas, 45, a number of times before headbutting him in June 2013.

He was sentenced in 2013 to 12 years for manslaughter comprising of eight years in prison and an extension period on licence of four years. Now Gwent Police have warned members of the public not to approach the killer. 

"We’re appealing for information to find Shaun Walker who has been recalled to prison. The 29-year-old from Newport has been recalled to prison after breaching his licence conditions," a spokesman for Gwent Constabulary said. 

He was sentenced in 2013 to 12 years for manslaughter comprising of eight years in prison and an extension period on licence of four years.
