Amanda Holden 'broken' as she shares fears for future after daughter's big news

Amanda Holden has shared her feelings about the day her daughters grow up and leave home.

The star of Britain's Got Talent got very emotional when she talked about Alexa, who is 18, and Hollie, who is 12, moving out one day. Amanda, 53, who shares two girls with her husband Chris Hughes, talked to her friend Alan Carr on their show Amanda and Alan's Italian Job.

"When your children, when they leave home, you only spend a year of your life with them ever again. They say you have 18 summers and then you're lucky to see them," she said. Amanda couldn't stop crying while talking to Alan. She also said: "It's so terrible because you wish so much of it away when you're a busy parent... and then you turn around and they're not even there."

Amanda shared a video of her poignant conversation with Alan on Instagram and told her fans to enjoy every moment. She wrote: "Time flies. Enjoy it." Several fans flocked to share their support for Amanda. Loose Women star Ruth Langsford penned: "You're right...it flies SO quickly....enjoy every second that you can."

Meanwhile, another person wrote: "I was broken when mine left - but believe me they keep coming back." Someone else said: "Can't even watch it without welling up about mine leaving! Feeling churned up inside and with tears in my eyes for you and for me."

Amanda's oldest daughter, Lexi, is currently looking at universities in America after finishing her A Levels. She became interested in studying in the US after a recent family trip to Los Angeles. Lexi is also making waves in the fashion world, having signed with Storm Management, one of the UK's top modelling agencies. They work with big names like Cara Delevingne and Anya Taylor-Joy.

A source close to Amanda has claimed that the mum-of-two knows that Lexi will be leaving home soon. The insider told OK! Magazine: "With Lexi's departure imminent, it's left Amanda feeling full of regret and doubt over what she may not have done right and what she could have done better.

"While she knows her insecurities are unfounded and the girls are constantly telling her what an incredible mum she's been and still is, she can't help feeling great sadness at her girls growing up and leaving her - admitting she is fearful of the loneliness she's going to endure when the time comes," they added.
