Epic Games added fishing to Lego Fortnite back in update v28.30 but with the Chapter 5 Season 2 launch, Epic has updated the mode to make fishing even more elaborate. By more elaborate, we mean you can now show off your catches like every dad you have on Facebook, by placing it atop your Lego mantle in your Lego home. But to do that, you'll actually need to have a Fishing Rod in the first place.

How to make a Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite
Fishing Rods are fairly easy to build in Lego Fortnite, but just like every other tool in the mode (and weapons in the main Battle Royale modes) the Fishing Rods in Lego Fortnite come in different rarities.
How to make a Common Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite
To craft a Common Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite you'll need the gather following items and head to any Workbench:

- One Wooden Rod (created using Wood on Lumber Mill)
- Two Cords (created by using Vines on a Spinning Wheel)
- One Wolf Claw
How to make an Uncommon Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite
To craft an Uncommon Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite you'll need the gather following items. You'll also need to upgrade your Workbench to at least Uncommon rarity.
- Two Knotroot Rods (created by using Knotroot on a Lumber Mill)
- Three Cords (created by using Vines on a Spinning Wheel)
- Three Wolf Claws
To harvest the Knotroot you need to head to caves, and you won't be able to harvest the Knotroot without an Axe of at least Uncommon rarity.
How to make a Rare Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite
To craft a Rare Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite you'll need the gather following items. You'll also need to upgrade your Workbench to at least Rare rarity.
- Three Flexwood Rods (created by using Flexwood on a Lumber Mill)
- One Drawstring (created by using five Cords on a Spinning Wheel)
- Two Wool Thread
- Three Sand Claws
To harvest the Flexwood you need to head to the Desert biome and knock down Cactuses. You won't be able to harvest the Flexwood without an Axe of at least Rare rarity (which by extension requires a Workbench of at least Rare rarity).
How to make an Epic Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite
To craft an Epic Fishing Rod in Lego Fortnite you'll need the gather following items. You'll also need to upgrade your Workbench to at least Epic rarity.
- Four Frostpine Rods (created by using Frostpine on a Lumber Mill)
- Two Drawstrings (created by using five Cords on a Spinning Wheel)
- Three Heavy Wool Thread
- Three Arctic Claws
To harvest the Frostpine you need to head to the Snowlands biome and knock down trees. You won't be able to harvest the Frostpine without an Axe of at least Epic rarity (which by extension requires a Workbench of at least Epic rarity).
