When it comes to most men and their wardrobes, they know what they like and they like what they know. And one piece that’s become something of a personal uniform for This Morning’s Ben Shephard is a pair of that are as practical as they are stylish.

This week, the 49-year-old made his official debut as main presenter alongside co-host Cat Deeley, 47, and all week so far, he’s worn a pair of to present the show.

Not the exact same pair of course - like most blokes who find a style they love, he’s worn different colours of the popular trousers, including The shopper-loved chinos are also available in and it’s only a matter of time before they grace the iconic blue sofa, too.

According to the high street retailer, the chinos have been ‘thoughtfully designed’ and offer a peached cotton texture that makes them ‘soft’ to touch, with a dash of elastane that gives them a slight stretch - ideal for all day wear and a great alternative to denim.

The means they’ll flatter most men, and are complete with corozo buttons and stripe inner pocket detailing to make them feel a little more premium.

The from shoppers who have loved the trousers so much, they’ve also snapped them up in multiple colours, like Ben.

Just what you'd expect from John Lewis!” With a third commenting: “Bought these as I wanted a practical and Could be smart casual, or walking the dog kind of trousers. Comfortable fit well and so far hard wearing.”

Another said they’re great for travelling in, commenting: “The Chinos are made from a fabric which feels strong but also has a soft brushed texture to it. They are true to size and fit well. I wore them for a trip away to York and drove for 5 hours in a car and they are exceptionally comfortable to travel in. They . They have a button on the inside of the Chino waist (French bearer) which helps to keep the waist flat and also adds strength to the outside button making them comfortable and hard wearing over time. The pockets are a good size. They washed and dried well too and looked just as great as the first time I wore them.”

But some have found the sizing to be a little off, and the top button on the stiff side, adding: “These are decent quality and comfortable but people are saying they come up big, so I bought a size down and have actually found them a bit tight. I'd recommend going with your regular size.”
