Dancing On Ice star Greg Rutherford has shared another health update after suffering an agonising injury.

The sports star, 37, has revealed that he his stomach is 'not in a good way' after revealing that he is still 'very sore' and feeling 'very tired' after a freak injury meant that he had to pull out of the Dancing On Ice final on Sunday. Greg was forced to throw in the towel just hours before the live show.

He was due to perform with professional skating partner Vanessa James in a bid to be crowned the 2024 champion, competing against Ryan Thomas, Adele Roberts and Miles Nazaire. However, just hours before the final, Greg's professional skating partner Vanessa, 36, posted a photo on Instagram, announcing they were on the way to the hospital after Greg was injured during rehearsals.

Vanessa penned: "Unfortunately Greg has sustained a significant injury this morning at rehearsals and won’t be able to perform tonight. We are on our way to the hospital for Greg to get examined further and receive the treatment he needs."

Following the news of his untimely injury, Greg has now shared another worrying update. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, the sports star said: "Good morning everyone. Just thought I’d give you a little update. I’m moving around a little bit better today which is nice. Loads of people are asking exactly what happened. I will be able to give a full rundown tomorrow. I'm seeing a specialist to figure out a plan of action and everything else."

Greg went on: "But my stomach is not in a good way and it’s going to need fixing. So that is what is going to be happening but I’ll give you a full rundown of everything when I know exactly what is happening. I’m trying as well not to take too much of the co-codamol I’ve been given because it makes me sleepy but my stomach is not in a good way."

Following the news of his untimely injury, Greg's fiancée, Susie Verrill took to Instagram to share an update on her future husband-to-be as she said that Greg was recovering well. Susie also insisted that Greg was doing 'a lot better' since his injury occurred on Sunday.

However, Greg has set the record straight, admitting that he's not doing as well as his fiancée has made out. Responding to her post, Greg said: "No I'm not." Susie then changed her statement and wrote: "Ok ignore, would like everyone to know he's actually in a lot of pain."

Greg shared another update with fans on Monday as he filmed himself from his hospital bed. "Seen a specialist today, I've got some scans tomorrow, and then I will know more about what's going on, and what's happening," he said.

"I'm very sore and very tired so I'm going to get an early night tonight. But again I cannot believe the amount of lovely messages I've had so thanks very much. I'll update everybody once I know what the next step is. This is grim."
