Coronation Street viewers are sure they know what's really happened to Lauren - and are convinced she hasn't been murdered or kidnapped

Coronation Street fans are convinced they know what's really happened to Lauren - and are sure she's not dead or been kidnapped.

There has been much speculation from both the Cobbles and viewers watching the show about what has happened to Lauren. We know that both Roy Cropper and Daniel Osbourne will fall under suspicion for Lauren's 'murder'. On Monday's episode, blood was found in Lauren's flat and there have been growing concerns that she could actually be dead.

However, some fans are convinced she is actually very much alive, and her disappearance is more to do with herself than anything else, with some viewers sure that she managed to escape whoever was targeting her.

Lauren has a difficult past, with her father the head of a far right terrorist group. Whilst he is now in jail, Lauren has been struggling to pay the bills and turned to O-Vidz to help her make money. She has also been seen sporting some really worrying bruises and an 'ex' has been around too, but his identity has yet to be revealed to viewers.

Now fans are convinced they've worked out what really happened to 'missing' Lauren. One fan penned: "At first i thought that she had just moved to another town and not told anyone because she did say how she wanted to be somewhere that nobody knew her and have a fresh start, but now that blood stains under the UV light have been found I’m really not sure what could’ve happened," as other viewers rushed to share their own theories.

"I think she’s been trafficked. I think Bethany will somehow be involved in finding her and revealing the traffickers. I also think Joel will somehow be involved," one wrote, whilst another added: "I'm hoping she got away and the blood is from the person who's trafficking her/pimping her out." A third suggested: "I agree with you. I think she’s in hiding. She fought the person who is pimping her out (could it be her dad, or is he in jail?) and escaped after knocking them out. The pimp woke up bleeding and left the apartment looking for her. I think Sean is going to end up moving into her apartment after the police leave and Lauren is going to try to sneak back in to get the $200 that was under the mattress. And then we’ll finally get to see some of that story play out."
