Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Warbond – when you can pick it up and what is included
Helldivers 2 Warbonds are essentially Arrowhead Game Studio's version of a battle pass, and the game is getting a brand new one this week that is jam packed with energy weapons.

Original story: As it stands right now, there are two kinds of Helldivers 2 Warbonds: the free version, Helldivers Mobilize; and one paid, premium version, called Steeled Veterans. The new Warbond, Cutting Edge, will be the second premium battle pass to join the fray and if you have a penchant for blasting Automatons – or love the thrill of brandishing energy-based weapons in general – this will be right up your street.
And the great thing about Helldivers 2 Warbonds is that they don't disappear like seasonal battle passes in other games, like Fortnite or Warzone. So you can always revisit them later down the line if you want to spend your Medals strategically; earned through completing objectives, Helldivers 2 Medals can be spent to unlock items on each page of the Warbond, like guns, armour, weapons and even Super Credits.
Containing three new primary weapons, armour sets and capes, a secondary weapon, grenade, emotes, and Player Cards, the Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Warbond releases Thursday, March 14 for players on PC and PS5.

Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Warbond: release time
The Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Warbond releases this Thursday, March 14. Arrowhead hasn't specified a time for the new Warbond going live but my best guess for the release time would be 10am GMT / 5am EST / 2am PST. Every update since Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.09 on February 17 (patch notes on Steam) has gone live at around this time, give or take 10 minutes – except update 1.000.10 which rolled out at just gone 7pm GMT / 2pm EST / 11am PST.
Before that, Helldivers 2 updates have gone live between 8am-10am GMT / 3am-5am EST / 12am-2am PST, but we'll update this piece if Arrowhead does poke its head out of the studio doors to narrow down the new Warbond release time.

New weapons
- LAS-16 Sickle laser rifle – A sweet laser rifle that fires in short bursts. And it doesn’t need reloading. Just watch for overheating or shove a new heatsink in there
- SG-8P Punisher Plasma modified shotgun –Exploding plasma rounds sound deadly… because they are, to aliens and allies! This modified Punisher shotgun is as fun as it is fearsome
- ARC-12 Blitzer shotgun – Project an arc of close-range lightning. Good for taking out multiple targets and giving you more time to pick a celebration emote
- LAS-7 Dagger pistol
- G-23 Stun grenade
New armour
- EX-03 Prototype 3 – Includes a rubber underlayer for insulation. Handy, really, as this prototype’s wires operate at a shocking 400,000 volts
- EX-16 Prototype 16 – Warning: Electric arc generates a strong magnetic field. Avoid use while near stapled paperwork
- EX-00 Prototype X – The end result of several billion Super Credits and 12 years of research into creating 'the Soldier of Tomorrow'. Show us it was worth it.
Everything else
- 3 new capes including Botslayer (light tan)
- 3 Player Cards to match new capes
- 3 new emotes
A handy tidbit, straight from the PlayStation blog suggests "equipping the LAS-7 Dagger AND LAS-16 Sickle at the same time, turning my Helldiver into a real live wire and melting the foes of Managed Democracy on sight." So bear that in mind for any build tweaks you're considering!
