Kirsten Dunst causes chaos at the Oscars as she crashes into giant statue
Kirsten Dunst had an embarrassing moment at the 2024 Oscars as she almost fell to the floor after tripping over her gown.
The 41-year-old actress made an appearance at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles with her husband Jesse Plemons to support his new movie Killers of the Flower Moon. Jesse started trailing behind his wife and she reached out her hand to help him catch up, but didn't seem to notice the gigantic Oscar statue behind her.
Kirsten crashed into the statue and almost tumbled to the floor. It seemed she had tripped over her minimalist Gucci gown. She then turned around and held onto the huge statue to make sure it didn't fall over.

Jesse then hurried over to his wife to help her. Luckily, they managed to laugh about the incident when both Kirsten and the giant Oscar were safe. She was heard saying: "I walking right into an Oscar!"

She made a statement with a bold red lipstick and rouged cheeks. Jesse wore a smart black tuxedo with a bowtie and crisp white shirt. His strawberry blonde hair was curled to the side.
Kirsten wasn't the only celebrity to take a tumble at the Oscars. Liza Koshy also fell on the red carpet, but managed to brush off the awkward moment.
She looked stunning in a tight red gown and eight inch heels, but it all proved too much for the Transformers star as she fell to the ground. Liza managed to pick herself back up and blamed an imaginary manhole for her fall.
As onlookers rushed to try to help her back to her feet the star was heard saying: "That's alright. There was a man hole, y'all saw that?"
Fans were quick to praise Liza for how she handled the situation. Taking to X, one fan wrote: "Liza Koshy's stumble on the red carpet at the Oscars will always be remembered, but the way she owned it with confidence and flair was just as memorable! Her witty response showed her cool under pressure. While many were quick to joke about the slip, Liza showed her sass and grace through humor."
