Oscars fans 'can't unsee' Emily Blunt's dress as John Krasinski holds her hand
Emily Blunt shared a sweet moment with John Krasinski, but it was quickly overshadowed by a fashion faux-pas.
As the nominees for Best Supporting Actress were being read out, John squeezed Emily's hand. She was nominated for her role in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer. It was Emily's first ever nomination at the Academy Awards, but she did not secure the Oscar. Instead, Danielle Brooks won for her role in The Color Purple.
As John was trying to support her, fans were more focused on her dress. When she sat down in her chair at Dolby Theatre, fans commented the straps on her dress looked a bit odd. One said: "I can’t unsee the straps of Emily Blunt’s dress."

Another said they "couldn't stop staring" at her "floating straps." Another even said: "She should get her money back for that dress, if she actually had to pay for it."
Serena Williams finally breaks silence on Will Smith Oscar slap one year onOn the red carpet, Emily and John appeared in a matching look as she wore a white and silver, shimmery gown. It was trimmed in a metallic silver, including around her waist. The straps on her shoulders, though, were an issue as they seemed to avoid touching her entirely. When walking around, the gap was noticeable, but when she sat down they rose up even higher.
Some wondered if the dress was "made of cardboard" as they tried to figure out what was wrong with it. "That dress with the shoulders is a fashion disaster," wrote one fan. Another added: "The bodice of that dress looks like a brace for scoliosis."
It wasn't only the shoulders that seemed to have an issue. Fans also pointed out that the bodice and waist area had a strange design. A fan wrote: "The pelvic area of dress looks like an ad for jockey briefs."
