Ryan Thomas' famous siblings burst into tears as he wins Dancing On Ice

This is the moment Ryan Thomas’ famous brothers broke down in tears as he skated to victory in the Dancing on Ice final.

The 39-year-old, who is most famous for playing Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street, wowed with his performance with pro skating partner Amani Fancy. As he shouted ‘Come on!’ at the end of his dance in the last show of the ITV series, his friends and family gave him a standing ovation from the audience.

Bride-to-be and mother of two of his children Lucy Mecklenburgh looked on proudly after his winning performance. While his younger brothers, twins Scott and Adam, had tears in their eyes as they celebrated from the sidelines.

Ryan said he was “speechless” as he was crowned this year’s Dancing on Ice winner while partner Amani broke down in tears of joy as they were handed the winning trophy. An emotional Ryan said: "I'm speechless!" before adding: "I just can't, it's Amani, I'm happy for her because she's put so much hard work in with me. Listen, Greg, if you're watching this at home... this trophy is for you, mate!"

The pair beat radio DJ Adele Roberts and Made In Chelsea star Miles Nazaire in tonight’s final. British Olympic track star Greg Rutherford was supposed to take part in 2024 final too but was forced to pull out at the final hour due to injury. Just hours before the final on Sunday night, Greg's professional skating partner Vanessa, 36, posted a photo on Instagram, announcing they were on the way to the hospital after Greg was injured during rehearsals.

Taking to Instagram after the news, Greg reshared Vanessa's post to his Story with a crying emoji. The Olympian then posted a video of himself receiving medical attention, where he said: "Hello, I know this looks very dramatic and everything else. Sadly, I picked up a big injury in rehearsals and I'm on my way to the hospital. So I will not be performing on tonight. I am devastated but these things happen. So stay tuned, we'll keep you updated, what a nightmare way for this to finish."

After the first routines, it was revealed that Ryan and Miles had got through to the next round, which meant Adele finished in third place. In an extra special final this year to mark the 40th anniversary of Torvill and Dean's gold medal win at the Winter Olympics in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the final two contestants Ryan and Miles performed a routine inspired by the skating duo's performance to Ravel's Bolero in Sarajevo at the 1984 Games.
