Christian Horner publicly praises Geri Horner for 'everything she does'
Red Bull F1 boss Christian Horner has publicly praised wife Geri Horner in a post on Instagram on Mother's Day amid his text scandal.
He shared a picture of the Spice Girl with their son Monty and wrote alongside it: "Happy Mother’s Day - So appreciative of the mums in our family for everything they do. We’re always grateful, today and every day".
The couple have had a difficult few weeks after allegations that Christian conducted "inappropriate behaviour" towards a female colleague, which he strenuously denied and has since been cleared by an internal investigation by Red Bull. The Red Bull boss has been at the centre of a scandal after WhatsApp messages were leaked which appeared to be written by Christian to his female colleague and Geri, 51, has been standing firm in her support of her husband with the couple being pictured at the Formula One Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia, the first race of the season.
Geri has been supported by her fellow Spice Girls during this tumultuous time and Melanie Brown has shared how the bandmates have pulled together for Geri. Speaking to the Mirror, Mel B told us: "Oh God, we are all so supportive of each other, we would literally take a bullet for each other. Between the four of us, we’ve all been messaging her. I sent a message to her earlier. I just feel for her, and… oh my God. I just feel sad. But she knows she has us four that are with her." Despite being in contact with Geri over text message, Mel B is still in the dark over the details of the allegations.
Mel added: "All you can do is be there, just like the girls have been there for me, all I can do is be there for Geri. But it is horrible to see your friend going through something – something that you don’t quite know what it is – but that’s your friend and you want to protect her, no matter what. What us five have been through in the 30 years we’ve known each other, that’s a solid bond."
