Where to find Helldviers 2 Bile Titans and why you need a PS5 player to help
At the time of writing, the Galactic War is currently being fought on two fronts, and while Major Orders can't be ignored, if you want to collect those all-important medals, it's worth paying attention to the Personal Orders too.
The most recent Personal Order directs you to kill Helldivers 2 Bile Titans – two of them to be exact. The reward? 15 Medals that you can put towards the battle pass to unlock new armour, weapons, emotes, or even some Super Credits. This bug or glitch still seems to be active rights now, and while it wasn't mentioned as a known issue in the most recent Helldivers 2 patch notes, you should take advantage of the PS5 meta while it aligns with the current Personal Order. Post-order, if the glitch is still active, feel free to carry on utilising it because one-shotting a Bile Titan is one of life's simple pleasures.
I'll go into the Helldivers 2 Bile Titan PS5 glitch first, so you can swot up on the current meta before it's patched out, and after that, I'll cover where to find Bile Titans and the best way to kill them without the glitch, for when it's inevitably patched out.
Helldivers 2 Bile Titan: PS5 glitch
At the moment, if you enter a game hosted by a PS5 player, it's possible to one-shot (or two at most) a Helldivers 2 Bile Titan with the Railgun in safe mode. For the uninitiated, the safe mode does 50% less damage but doesn't carry the risk of blowing you up. A reddit thread on the topic has links to Twitch streamers putting that theory to the test, but YouTuber OhDough also goes into this in some detail, concluding PC players should enable crossplay, hope for a PS5 host, and then fire the Railgun into the Bile Titan's weak spots for an easy kill.

Outside of this, the Helldivers 2 Bile Titans will take around 10-12 Railgun shots to take down.
Where to find Bile Titans in Helldivers 2
As with all Terminid scum, you can find Bile Titans in Helldivers 2 on planets occupied by the bug scourge. These are located on the right side of the map (highlighted in orange)at the war table on the bridge of your Super Destroyer. You do have to be playing on Challenging difficulty or above for them to appear, so if you're flying solo or with a headcount of less than four, you might want to drop an SOS beacon in the hopes of a level 50 Skull Admiral swooping to your rescue.
How to kill Bile Titans in Helldivers 2
As with all enemies (that I've encountered so far at least) Helldivers 2 Bile Titans have weak spots that you should be aiming for, regardless of the weapons currently available to you in your arsenal:
First up: their mouth. The best time to aim for their gaping maw is when it's open, spraying bile, so clear any mobs that you need to get out of the way so that you can avoid the sludge and get shots off without getting immobilised or killed. The secondary spots to focus on are the bile sac, which are the neon green underbelly in this particular Terminid's case.
As for the weapons and Stratagems to use, the Railgun in a PS5 player-hosted game is obviously the quickest way to kill Bile Titans in Helldivers 2 right now. Once the bonus damage PS5 glitch is addressed, the Railgun is still your best bet and if you have the balls to use it in unsafe mode, all the better, as you'll be unlocking its full power. Just don't blow yourself up. Any other high damage weapon is your friend when taking on Bile Titans in Helldivers 2, and paired with these Stratagems, you should be able to make short work of them:
- Eagle 500KG Bomb
- Orbital Laser
- Orbital Railcannon Strike
- Expendable Anti-Tank
- Autocannon
- Eagle 110MM Rocket Pods
If you've mastered landing your Hellpod on enemies when dropping on after a Reinforce, you can also aim for the head on your way back down to the battlefield. Just bear un mind that if you miss, or don't succeed in smooshing the Bile Titan, you'll need to get the hell out of there before you're engulfed in a bile stream, or get mobbed by smaller enemies.
Other general tips for taking on Bile Titans in Helldivers 2 (and is also applicable in many other hairy scenarios you'll find yourself in) include using the terrain to your advantage, keeping a healthy distance between the Bile Titan and your squad, and using any squad members with heavy armour (or just someone who doesn't mind being used as bait) to catch its attention so you can unleash your attacks and Stratagems.
