Gary Goldsmith should not be on CBB, fumes Lauren's pal in rant at housemates
Lauren Simon's close friend has slammed the "petty" nominations as she tears into housemates Gary, Ekin-Su and Zeze.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star is up for the first eviction on tonight's Celebrity Big Brother alongside Kate Middleton's uncle Gary Goldsmith. She broke down in tears on Thursday night after finding out her housemates voted for her. Lauren, who doesn't know which housemates cast their vote on her, was nominated by Bradley Riches, Colson Smith, Gary, Marisha Wallace, Nikita Kuzmin and Zeze Mills.
The reality TV star's close friend Fran Tray has hit out at the nominations as she told The Mirror: "I think the reasons are a bit petty to be honest, I don't think they're a fair representation of what's actually been going on. She's made a comment about an orange, and now she's been nominated by two people about an orange. It kind of goes to show that they've not got good enough reasons yet because they've not known each other that long. I think that they're very petty reasons to be honest."
Lauren's pal is adamant she will win the public vote over Gary as she fumed he is on the wrong show. "I don't want to comment on who should be and who shouldn't be on the show because everyone's obviously on the show for a reason," she admitted. "I mean, he's gone in and said he doesn't want to be a celebrity, so he's probably on the wrong show for not wanting to be a celebrity. I think between Lauren and Gary, we've got a clear idea of who's gonna go."

Fran shared her thoughts on the two butting heads as she called Zeze "a bit argumentative". She added: "She's a women's rights, she stands up for people. She's known for being opinionated on YouTube, isn't she. I think if someone says something, she's going to take a bit more seriously than it actually is, because it feels like she's always got her back up about everything."

Fran then hit out at Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and added: "I don't think she's not coming across that well." Speaking of how Lauren is coming across on the show, Fran said she is "staying true to herself". "She is opinionated and I think she's got a dry sense of humour, which might come across as rude to people when it's actually not," Fran said.
"Most of the things she says are in jest but to other people, it might come across as her having too much of an opinion or being a bit rude. But that's just not how she is." Asked if Lauren has been fairly reflected, Fran said viewers could have been shown more of her and her "vulnerable side".
"She is sensitive, she is kind, she is caring and she wouldn't have expected that. She would have been being nice to everyone. I was watching her live last night and she was going to bed and she was giving everyone a kiss because that's Lauren and what she is about. It was really hard [to see her upset]. I was upset for her, and I think everyone of her friends felt exactly the same. It just wasn't nice to see her that vulnerable on TV because it wasn't like there was two or three people. I think that would have hit her hard and she wouldn't have thought that she'd done anything wrong and then she's up against Gary."
