Noel and Sue Radford have insisted they're 'shy people' as they discussed the number of fans that showed up to their book signing in Manchester.

The couple, known for being Britain's biggest family with Sue welcoming their first child when she was only 13 years old, released their first book called The Radfords: Making Life Count, and fans were quick to show up in support after they announced their book signings.

The duo already share their lives on 22 Kids and Counting, but fans got a more in-depth version in their book. In a recent YouTube video, the duo admitted they're extremely 'shy' and were nervous about meeting all their fans for the first time. Sue, 48, said: "From what we've heard, quite a few tickets have been sold, so I guess there's going to be quite a few people there.

"This is so new to us we've never done anything like this before, it's so weird because I think I would say we're both quite shy people aren't we? So to do something like this is, um it's a little bit out of our comfort zone but I'm really really excited to meet everybody."

Sue and Noel also shared a few clips from the signing, with them revealing some fans travelled from far and wide just to meet them. Noel said: "What a day, it was a bit weird cause when we got there we saw a big queue of people we sort of walked past everyone just to get into the store and we both said to them 'Oh my God our legs feel like jelly.'"

His wife continued: "People come all the way from Kent, Bristol, Newcastle, South Wales all over absolutely all over honestly. Seriously such a surreal day yeah like, when we saw the queue outside like oh my goodness my legs literally went to jelly, but it was so lovely."

In their book, they discussed whether they would have another child. "No, I don’t think so – though we have said similar things before!" Sue admitted. "But no, that’s it now." In agreement, Noel penned: "We’ve said similar things plenty of times before! But seriously, Heidie is three now, so yes...we’re enjoying our sleep at last!

"And we no longer have to worry about kids being at that age when they pick things up off the floor and stick them in their mouths" Sue goes on to write: "Yeah, there are all sorts of things we no longer have to worry about."
