Francis Ngannou's coach has dream about exact punch which will KO Anthony Joshua
Francis Ngannou's coach dreamt his charge will KO Anthony Joshua with the same shot which dropped Tyson Fury.
Ngannou takes on Joshua in Saudi Arabia on Friday night as he attempts to go one better than on his debut when he sent Fury to the canvas in the third round before losing on points. And his long-time head trainer has no doubt the former UFC champion will have his hand raised after his vision.
"I had a dream that Francis knocked him out, but it was just a dream so I don't know put heavy weight in a dream," he told Mirror Fighting. "He knocked him out with a left hook in my dream but the wonderful thing about Francis is it could be the right uppercut or the left uppercut, the right hand, the straight right, the straight left, it could be anything. He possesses power in both hands that could put out a man and we'll see how it goes.
"The reality on Friday night is that someone is going to win and someone is going to lose and that's the unfortunate side of sports. We get to see a result in real time; we get to see triumph or misery in real time. Someone will leave the ring very sad - most likely psychologically broken - and I don't feel that will be us, I feel it will be Anthony Joshua and I will feel that way until it's not. You can't defeat him until you beat him; you can't defeat Francis until you beat Francis and I don't think he has what it takes to defeat Francis."
Victory for Ngannou could set him up for a shot against the winner of Fury's undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk in May. And Cooper is desperate for Fury to have his hand raised for the chance to avenge Ngannou's defeat.
Deontay Wilder offers advice to Manny Pacquiao's son ahead of latest fight"Everyone on team Ngannou has a preference because of the bittersweet result. The fans thought Francis won but the judges didn't. We want a rematch with Fury and what better stakes than for all the belts in professional boxing; you couldn't write a better script. I would love for Francis to go in there and dominate Joshua and for Fury to somehow get past Usyk which is not going to be an easy at all. Usyk could easily win that but we want to see Francis against Fury for all four straps in a rematch."
