Currys cuts £500 off Samsung TVs but rival deal gets you Galaxy Watch for free

Another battle of goggleboxes is here as both Currys and Samsung launch seemingly unmissable deals on a range of 4K devices, perfect timing if you've been wanting to upgrade. With up to £500 knocked off the price, one retailer may seem like the ideal one to go for, unless you fancy a Galaxy Watch 5 Pro for free.

Yes, Samsung will give anyone who buys a 65-inch Neo QLED HDR TV model its latest Galaxy Watch 5Pro for nothing - you won't pay a penny for the £279 piece of wearable tech. It's available to claim on three of its devices; you'd have to pick the QN85C, QN88C or the QN90C.

The deal over at the Samsung store means you'll pay £1,499 for one of the TVs then get the £279 Galaxy Watch 5Pro thrown into your online basket for free. The mightier QN90C has been reduced from £1,699 so we'd recommend this is the model you pick, although it is safe to say even with the free smartwatch it's a hefty price to fork upfront.

This is where we move on to fellow tech retailer Currys, who has seemingly taken inspiration from Samsung's TV deals and launched a separate list of offers. You won't find a free Galaxy Watch 5Pro over here, but there's cash to be saved on a range of models - including screens that are a lot cheaper, like this 43 -inch 4K Ultra HD LED TV which is now £319 in the sale.

Moving onto the screen with the biggest discount, it also just happens to be the same price you'd pay over at Samsung for the TV and free watch deal, the Samsung QE65QN90CATXXU (that's a mouthful) 65-inch 4K device. This comes with Ultra HD HDR, Neo OLED, and Bixby and Alexa features (the handy voice assistants).

Originally priced at £1,999 Currys has taken a huge £500 off the tag, dropping the price to a lower £1,499. Don't be fooled, it's still a huge amount of money to drop to stream your favourite channels, films, and series but it's a lot cheaper than the usual going rate.

If you fancy a look at other brands too then the retailer is also offering some discounts on LG models - this model is now £199.99 - while Roku's new collaboration with Logik has also launched on the site. Amazon is another retailer selling Samsung TVs.
