Scarlett Moffatt introduces baby Jude and spills on her sibling plans
Smiling Scarlett Moffatt showed off incredible baby Jude to the world and said it may not be long until he has a little brother or sister.
The former Gogglebox star and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! winner, 33, welcomed her first child last year with long-term partner, Scott Dobinson. Despite admitting that she breezed through pregnancy with no pain or sickness, Scarlett's baby boy arrived sooner than expected and was born premature and was rushed into the neonatal unit overnight.
He arrived by C section as she described his birth as "very calm" - and he was even brought into the world while Shania Twain was blaring on the radio. The experience of course was quite scary, she has said in a photoshoot with OK! Magazine, as she discussed adding to her brood in the years ahead and what's next career wise.
Eight months on from giving birth, Scarlett said. “I was an only child until I was 16 and now me and my sister are so close. I really want Jude to have that bond - his own little bestie in the house. You know, I can’t believe I’m here a decade later. I remember winning I’m a Celeb and thinking if this is the only thing that happens for me I am so lucky. And now I’m a mam!
“I was one of those women who swanned through pregnancy with no sickness, no acid reflux, nothing. I embraced every moment. Then last June at 35 weeks I was getting ready to go on a spa day for my little sister’s birthday when I suddenly heard a pop," she told the publication.
Greggs, Costa & Pret coffees have 'huge differences in caffeine', says report"Scott said: ‘have you just wet the bed?’ but it was my waters partially breaking. So off we went, straight to hospital. I’ve never even had a tattoo, that's how much I hate pain. But I think my body was on my side. We had the radio on and Jude was born to the song Man, I Feel Like a Woman which is so ironic as all his godparents are drag queens. We couldn’t have planned it better," Scarlett shared.
So much has changed in the past year for the star - including her perspective on life. “I have a completely different mindset these days - it was like a switch flicked in my head when I became a mam," she said. "I used to put so much pressure on myself and worry about other people’s opinions. Now? I don’t care. I feel I know myself a lot more. “And I’ve given birth to a little human being - that’s amazing.”
