Thierry Henry has named six matches that will be key to Arsenal's bid to secure a first Premier League title in 20 years.

The Gunners legend believes that Manchester City and Liverpool are equipped for the games to come but that Mikel Arteta's side are going to have to prove themselves. The north London team will hope to go one better this term after finishing second in 2022/23.

Arsenal continued their ruthless form with a 6-0 win over Sheffield United on Monday. They were three goals ahead after just 15 minutes at Bramall Lane as Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Ben White all scored.

Last season's runners-up currently sit third in the table, two points behind Liverpool and one point behind Manchester City. Arsenal hold a superior goal difference in comparison to either side however, with a record of 45 giving them a six-goal advantage over the Reds and 10 over Pep Guardiola's team.

Henry named obvious ties such as Arsenal's clashes with Man City and Tottenham as pivotal but also highlighted games against Wolves and Chelsea as testing moments. The Frenchman believes that progress against Porto could also play a role in the difficulty the Gunners face as the season draws to a close.

He said: "For me when I look at it, this one will be a difficult one because Chelsea play ever so well against teams that are on the ball, especially when they are away from home. Having said that, looking at that, how Manchester City is going to go, who knows?

" Brighton away, Wolverhampton, I won’t name that team ( Tottenham ), we all know that they are going to make sure that we don’t win it and that United game away is going to be tricky. If you add to that, if we go deep in the Champions League, you have to add those games in that.

"Can you deal with that? I know Manchester City and Liverpool are equipped to deal with all of that, so when I look at this, that is going to be a tough one away from home and I am scared why because I know it was in the Champions League, but Porto in between all of our goals and playing well, stopped us from having a shot away from home.

"A team that was well drilled and well positioned. Those teams might see this now and go, give them the ball, let’s stay compact, and speed, speed, speed, they have speed on the counter-attack."
