Rylan Clark admits he tricked a famous pop star into drinking his urine
Rylan Clark has admitted that he tricked a pop star into drinking his pee while in Majorca.
In a candid admission, the TV star told fellow celebs about the awkward moment. Reminiscing on when he found fame on The X Factor in 2012, Rylan said he would jet off to Majorca each week where he had a residency at a beach club.
However, it wasn't all smooth sailing as the 35-year-old said he soon found out that another pop star who was performing at the club was being rude to other staff members. The star decided to take it into his own hands and look for a way to get revenge.
Appearing on Mel Giedroyc's new series of Unforgivable, Rylan told the story. He said: "I used to fly there every Tuesday, perform three songs and fly back. I had the residency on the Tuesday, and another ‘pop star’ had the residency on the Wednesday. I asked what that person was like, and they said, ‘He treats us all like s**t and he’s really, really rude to people'."
He added: "Every week he’d have the same bottle of whisky and only have one drink from it – so on my last night I found said bottle of whisky and I topped it up myself. I got a video the following day of said pop star drinking from the bottle. It was wee-sky." Rylan then went on to say that he would never reveal who the star was. The revelation comes after it was revealed that Rylan had his skull fractured by homophobic bullies.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourHis new show Rylan: Homophobia, Football and Me, examines how British society has treated gay people in the sport. It looks at the tragic story of Justin Fashanu – the UK's first openly gay footballer, who took his own life at 37, and also hears from West Ham and Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, who reflects on his use of homophobic language.
The documentary also looks back at Rylan's childhood, where he was mercilessly bullied because of his ginger hair, weight and homosexuality. The bullying took an even more serious turn when one person subjected him to a violent attack that left him in hospital.
Rylan explained: "I was the fat, ginger kid at school. The first three years of school was hard and then I was like, 'I'm gay now, get over it.' It was taunting and very difficult. When I lived in London there was this playground that I used to go to after school and I got pulled off a rope swing and some boy kicked me in the head and fractured my skull. I was probably about 13 or 14. I was in hospital, it was a horrible time."
