Punter scoops £90,000 after picking all eight winners on Wolverhampton card
A punter has landed nearly £90,000 after going through the card at the meeting at Wolverhampton on Saturday.
In an extraordinary feat of betting, the punter landed the wager by picking all eight winners for a stake of just £1 each way.
The eightfold bet comprised One More Wave, who started things rolling by winning at Evens, which was followed by the victory of Blue Collar Lad (5-2) in the second race.
The next five winners were Savannah Smiles (5-1), Cosmos Raj (13-2), Angel Of Antrim (4-1), At Liberty (5-2), Bungle Bay (11-4).
Sunblock (100-30) made it eight out of eight when taking the last race by three quarters of a length at the evening fixture. netting £89,635.88 for the punter.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “The card at Wolverhampton certainly wasn’t the most high-profile on Saturday, but it proved to be a pretty memorable one for a William Hill customer.
“In seriously impressive fashion, the punter managed to find the winner of every one of the eight races on the card, and in doing so won themselves just shy of £90k.
“What was all the more impressive was that they won the haul from just a £1 each-way bet and I’m sure there were a few celebrations after the final selection, Sunblock, got the job done!”
