Sick moment dog mauls cat to death after 'owner lifts pet over fence to attack'

Horrifying footage catches the moment a dog attacked a cat to death after the owner allegedly "lifted the dog over the gate" to cause the attack.

According to the video, the owner pushes the dog over the fence before it fatally attacked the cat, chasing it around the area. The dog appeared to be medium-sized and the owner was seen to stand behind the gate in Halifax - watching the scene occur.

Around sixty seconds later, the dog goes back to its owner while a woman living nearby comes out her property to investigate. A woman who knows the cat owner, Ameena Islam, shared the footage online. She said the cat sadly died thirty minutes later from the attack due to "internal bleeding."

In a post, she claimed the owner was "callously" watching the incident occur, and that the dog was "off-leash." She claimed: "In the opening of the video, it’s evident that the owner deliberately lifted their dog over the gate, seemingly to facilitate the attack on the cat. It’s disgusting to subject a defenseless cat to such cruelty, ultimately resulting in its tragic passing. If anyone witnessed the incident, possesses clear CCTV footage or recognises the dog, please direct message me and please share this video."

In October, further footage captured a suspected XL Bully maul a cat to death. The distressing clip was shared online, showing the attack that occured in Ilford, London. Witnesses gasp as the defenceless kitty was frozen in terror as the dog grabs it between its jaws and shakes it around in the middle of a road, almost killing it.
