Not even a day after the results of President Joe Biden's latest physical were released, former President Donald Trump could be found on his social media site Truth Social bashing the incumbent Democrat, who was reportedly not issued a cognitive test alongside his physical examinations.

In yet another unhinged rant, the businessman wrote: "Crooked Joe Biden must take a Cognitive Test. Maybe that way we would be able to find out why he makes such terrible decisions. I took two of them, and ACED them both (no mistakes!). All Presidents, or people wanting to become President, should mandatorily take this test!"

Biden's exam was conducted on Wednesday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, NPR reported, and involved analysis that drew upon the expertise of 20 different doctors.

It's been dubbed an incredibly important examination, given the president's age of 81. He is the oldest sitting president in American history, and voters are already concerned about his ability to both physically and mentally handle the stresses of the job.

Those concerns come amid several gaffs the Democrat, who is running for another four-year term in November, has made over the past several months while on the campaign trail and while giving integral speeches addressing the nation about issues like the ongoing war in Gaza, racism and climate change, among other issues.

Trump, who is also running for a second four-year term and who is 77 — just four years younger than Biden — was quick to comment on the fact that Biden wasn't given a cognitive test. He has said before on the campaign trail that, both their old ages aside, he is better than Biden because he's mentally sharp, while he believes the current president is not.

In his Truth Social post, he bragged about how he "ACED" two cognitive tests while in office and said that Biden should be forced to take them to prove he's competent — which Trump clearly believes he is not. Trump himself has been known to mix up names and make speech gaffs, including one recently in which he said on the campaign trail that he wanted Biden in office.

The results of the physical come after a special counsel report released earlier this month examined Biden's mishandling of classified material — something Trump himself finds himself embroiled in a high-stakes federal indictment over for documents he stashed in the shower at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida — determined that Biden didn't mishandle the documents maliciously. It referred to him as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."

That report has many, including Trump and Biden's voter base alike, worried about the Democrat and whether he'll be able to effectively manage another four years in the White House.

Karine Jean-Pierre, however, the White House press secretary, told reporters after the results of the examinations were released that Biden "passes a cognitive test every day" because of the challenges of the job he faces — which she said are more rigorous than any 15-minute cognitive test.

Tests from November 2021 and February 2023 also did not include cognitive or memory tests, with doctors determining that the president simply didn't need one at the time, as they did on Wednesday.

The special counsel report earlier this month reportedly angered Biden, who told reporters that his "memory is fine" just before he mixed up the president of Mexico with the president of Egypt. His team has since emphasised his busy schedule, including the multitude of campaign events he attends monthly, and has resorted to humour as a way to convince voters that, just because Biden is old, he can still handle his own in office.

Biden himself said of the results that nothing has changed and that doctors "think [he] looks too young" as he also joked that, while he can't run like he used to, his age gives him "a little bit of wisdom about how we can get things done."

Other tidbits shared in the report include that Biden is using a CPAP machine to help him sleep better and ward off sleep apnoea and that he's been stretching more and is on a new medication for acid reflux. He has a "mildly decreased range of motion," physician Kevin O'Connor said, which is in part a result of his arthritis.

But overall, O'Connor said Biden has a clean bill of health. He weighs 178 pounds (12.7 stone), has normal blood sugar levels, has his atrial fibrillation under control and exercises five days a week, if not more. Trump may be coming after Biden for his old age, even despite his own old age, but it seems the president has things under control, according to his examinations. Whether he'll submit to a cognitive test, however, remains to be seen.
