Calvin Klein looks gaunt as he catches his breath after an intense workout
Calvin Klein looked almost unrecognisable as he showed off his thin frame while relaxing after an intense workout session.
The 81-year-old fashion designer made a rare public appearance on Tuesday as he was spotted catching his breath after working out on the weight machine at Golds Gym in Venice, California. His workout place of choice is favoured by celebrities, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Keanu Reeves and Nicolas Cage.
Calvin exercised at the legendary venue wearing black Capri trousers and a black T-shirt. He opted for a pair of black Nike trainers and added a hoodie for warmth. Calvin looked very stylish as he added a pair of black Aviator sunglasses to his look.

Gold's Gym was made famous after featuring in the 1977 documentary Pumping Iron, which centred on the competition between Arnold Schwarzenegger and one of his biggest competitors Lou Ferrigno. Since then, celebrities such as Bruce Springsteen have been known to work out at the institution, with Arnold's son Joseph Baena also spotted at the gym.
Calvin makes very few public appearances nowadays, but he was spotted in New York back in October as he caught up with a friend at Bar Pitti Restaurant in Soho. The fashion icon seemed very happy as he enjoyed a walk around New York City with his pal.

He looked frail in the new pictures (London Entertainment / SplashNews.com)While Calvin is rarely seen in public nowadays, it seems he still enjoys his life in Los Angeles with his model boyfriend of eight years, Kevin Baker. The couple live in a sprawling mansion in the Hollywood Hills which Calvin purchased in 2015 for $25million (£19.7million).
Calvin has never addressed his relationship with Kevin publicly but they're believed to have started dating in March 2016, after being pictured together at the Mint Luxury Conference in Mumbai. They were then spotted at some big events likes the 2016 Future of Fashion Runway Show and the Broadway Opening Night Performance of American Psycho in New York City.
Calvin and Kevin made their red carpet debut together at the American Ballet Theatre 2016 Fall Gala. Calvin previously dated porn star Nick Gruber, but they split in 2012.

The Calvin Klein Inc founder married Jayne Centre, a textile designer, in 1964. They welcomed a daughter, Marci Klein in 1967, but divorced just seven years later.
Calvin went on to marry his assistant Kelly Rector in Rome in September 1986. They were together for more than 10 years before announcing their split in 1996. The former couple then finalised their divorce in April 2006.
