Super fluffy mattress topper will make the bed 'a cloud' for under £30

If your mattress has seen better days then a cost-effective solution could see you drifting off to sleep in comfort once again. Mattress toppers have grown in popularity over recent years thanks to their low price and how quickly they can transform a sleep setup.

One product that Amazon shoppers are loving is the MightySoft Mattress Topper which, at £29.99 for a single and £32.99 for a double, needn't break the bank. The topper boldly claims to make your bed "cloudlike" thanks to breathable microfiber "to make you feel like you are being embraced with extra warmth all night long".

The quilted bed topper double is machine washable meaning it's easy to care for and maintain. You simply toss it in the wash for a fresh and clean feel, although Amazon says to avoid fading and stretching, machine wash at 40°C and tumble dry on low.

The reviews are very positive too, with an average rating if 4.4 stars out of 5, from more than 2,000 shoppers. One said: "I let the mattress topper plump up overnight as recommended. It was easy to fit the next day and it definitely helped to cushion my painful hip. Recommended."

Another added: "Didn't really know what to expect from this product but so very happy with it. It's quite thick but really comfortable and sleep has been better since it's been on." A third remarked: "So comfortable I struggle to get out of the cloud that is now my bed."

However, one customer said they found it too thin to make an impact: "I would have been just as well buying a duvet as when you lie on it just does nothing. I have resorted to folding in half and using it that way. Still doesn't make it much better but until I find something else it is better than nothing."
