Married At First Sight UK's Ella admits feelings for JJ amid Katie Price romance
Married At First Sight star Ella Clark has admitted she still has feelings for JJ Slater and wishes they were still together - but he has been stolen away by Katie Price.
The 30-year-old model enjoyed a passionate romance with 31-year-old JJ - although they were not initially paired with each other. At the beginning of the 2023 season of E4’s chaotic dating show, Ella was married to 36-year-old events manager Nathanial Valentino - while JJ was paired with 29-year-old Bianca Petronzi.
But there was a lack of chemistry between Ella and Nathanial and for JJ and Bianca. When Ella and JJ confessed in front of everyone that they had an attraction for each other, it spelt doom for their marriages, but a sizzling romance quickly developed between the pair. When Married At First Sight ended in November last year, Ella and JJ admitted to each other that they couldn’t see a real future with each other. While they were both sad to walk away from the romance, Ella admitted she was glad to have taken part in the show as she had learned more about herself, and she felt she had seen her confidence boosted.
On Monday night, MAFS fans were treated to a fresh reunion special - which saw Ella return to the series to mingle with other 2023 contestants. And in a candid moment, she admitted that she missed JJ and wished they were still together.

Ella and JJ fell for each other on MAFs last year - but split before the year ended (E4)Speaking to the group, she explained that she was still in constant contact with her ex. She declared: “We speak all the time. I love him as a friend.” But in a confessional to the camera, Ella’s composure collapsed and began to cry. She confessed: “Me and JJ will always be in each others’ lives. There is still feelings left for me.” Wiping away tears, she continued: “It’s a really hard pill to swallow because if I had it my way, I would be walking back in with him.”

Unfortunately for Ella, JJ has since moved on to 45-year-old mum-of-five, Katie. The pair were snapped on a date this month and were smiling while walking arm-in-arm on the streets of Southend-on-Sea in Essex. And to add insult to injury, reports have claimed Katie first befriended Ella, before betraying her and taking her man like the proverbial Jolene.
A source told The Sun this month: "Ella and Katie have become friends over recent months, so it surprised her that Katie would do that. She doesn’t have any feelings for JJ, she’s just livid that Katie went behind her back and broke girl code."
While another source told OK! magazine: "Ella's jealous, but it's more because JJ told her he didn't like her drinking or partying, which is what she sees in his relationship with Katie... So if it wasn't okay with her, why is it okay with Katie?" And a further source said JJ felt like he'd struck gold with Katie, saying: "She is exactly his type, he loves the big boobs Barbie-type of look, as we saw on Married At First Sight UK."
