Olly Murs has shared an update as he and his wife prepare for their first child.

The former The Voice UK coach and his wife Amelia will welcome their first baby later this year, having announced their joyous news in December last year. The couple who tied the knot in July 2023 took to social media to share with fans that their lives were about to dramatically change.

"Baby Murs due 2024," they captioned their announcement which saw Olly pointing at his wife's blossoming bump. But as Amelia's due date fast approaches, Olly has taken to social media to share an update with fans.

In view of his 4.7 million followers on Instagram, the Right Place Right Time musician revealed that he and his wife had prepared their little one's bursting wardrobe. Olly could be seen filming a wardrobe filled with clothes and items such as teddy, bottles, babygrows and bibs for his child.

"Not long now," he wrote over his video, before adding: "All starting to feel a little real now." Accompanying the video was Adele's song, My Little Love, with lyrics including: "My little love, I see your eyes widen like an ocean." Although Olly is preparing to become a dad, he's still keeping himself busy.

In April, the star will once again take to the road as he prepares to entertain thousands of fans each night in cities including Sheffield and Birmingham as the support for Take That. But he'll be spending time closer to home with a staggering six shows at London's O2 Arena. Elsewhere, Olly has also announced a string of summer shows including a set at Thetford Forest as part of Forest Live.

But in recent months, Olly found himself being axed by The Voice having appeared on the show as a coach from 2018 until last year. Following the decision, Davina McCall has thrown her support being the singer after he went on to star as a guest judge on The Masked Singer.

"He's a brilliant panellist," she said, adding she was shocked that he was let go from his position on the ITV talent show. Davina said: "I've known Olly his entire career so it feels like he's part of my work DNA. And he's a brilliant panellist. I really enjoyed having him on the show.

"He knows so much about music, he's great at picking out voices and he's lovely. We didn't talk about The Voice, but he didn't seem down – he was absolutely chipper. I was surprised about [The Voice decision] because I often look at Olly and think he's as good a TV presenter as he is a singer, and it's very difficult to get those two things right."
