Netflix's chilling true crime documentary, Lover, Stalker, Killer, has left viewers shocked and has even scored a rare 100% on the review site Rotten Tomatoes. And with over 10 million views, it's been the most-watched show on Netflix for two weeks.

The documentary, which was released on February 9, tells the story of a jealous ex-girlfriend who stalks and torments her former boyfriend. It includes interviews with Dave Kroupa, the man who was stalked, and the investigators who worked on the case.

Even though the documentary is only 90 minutes long, it's full of surprises. It tells the story of Dave, who after ending a long-term relationship, finds himself in a dangerous situation. He starts dating Liz Golyar, a single mum, but ends things because he wants to keep things casual.

Dave then meets another single mum, Cari Farver, not through a dating app, and they really hit it off. They start dating and Cari spends a lot of time at his flat. One night, Cari and Liz accidentally meet. Then, after just two weeks of dating, Cari argues with Dave, breaks up with him, and threatens to ruin his life.

This led to years of scary texts and emails, which seemed to be from Cari but were actually from Liz. It was later found out that Cari had been killed by Shanna "Liz" Gikyar, who got a life sentence in 2017 for the crime she had committed five years earlier. She managed to avoid being caught by pretending to be Cari for four years.

Liz kept pretending to be Cari for years by using her victim's social media profiles. She was only caught when police found a photo on Liz's tablet of what looked like a body that was decomposing and tied up. To make it even more clear that she was guilty, another photo showed a foot with a Chinese symbol tattooed on it, which matched the one that Cari had.

In just two days of the documentary being on Netflix, it was watched over 10 million times, and fans on Twitter are still telling others to watch it. "#LoverStalkerKiller is a chilling documentary on Netflix... Some of their shows and movies have seriously been underwhelming, whereas their docus are top-notch. This one is a fantabulous watch."

The documentary was made by Sam Hobkinson with reenactments from Ryan Avis, Jessica N Johnson, and Chris Maher. Netflix says: "In this twisting documentary, a mechanic tries online dating for the first time and meets a woman who takes romantic obsession to a deadly extreme."
