Linda Nolan won't let cancer stand in the way if the chance for a little romance in her life cropped up.

The much-loved star, who was catapulted to fame as one-fifth of the singing sisters The Nolans, was left devastated when the disease returned in 2017. Originally, it had spread to her liver but last year, the 65-year-old revealed it had also spread to her brain. Since then, she has received positive news from her oncologists.

The experts stated that her treatment appears to be working as scans have shown shrinkage of the tumours on her brain - and now she clearly has a spring in her step. Linda been discussing catching someone's eye but it's all about character and not incredible looks - with Linda keen to find love again after the death of husband Brian Hudson in 2007.

She told Hello! Magazine: "People have been asking me what's on my bucket list. Meeting George Clooney would be nice! If a George Clooney lookalike came along, it would be hard to resist, but if he had the personality of a mouse, I wouldn't be interested. There has to be humour and romance. Not too much to ask for, is it?"

Since the cancer spread to her brain, Linda has been living with Denise and her partner after suffering a series of falls at her home in Blackpool. But, she has an incredible support network around her and revealed that all of her family frequently check in on her. Speaking about the positive news she received before Christmas, Linda told Good Morning Britain: "I didn't think I'd make Christmas. I was hoping to make the birth of my nephew, who was born at the end of July, and then I was thinking, 'How many more milestones will I make?"

"And at the moment, I feel good. I've got a little bit of pain but I was walking about yesterday; we went to the beautiful garden centre and I was having a walk around to keep moving. They said, 'Don't sit down all the time or nothing will work', and I just looked and thought, 'How lucky I am?' After nine months and getting the worst possible news, having a great time with my sisters."

Last year she shared a candid admission, revealing the "special" moments in her life as she continues to live with cancer. Opening up in her exclusive column for the Mirror, Linda said: "But I'm starting to realise it's the absolutely normal things – the regular life stuff – which is most special.

"Like deadheading a rose. I also get a buzz when I clear up the plates after we've all sat down on the sofas in front of the telly for dinner (OK, bear with me…). I can't stand for long but I do what I can. Clearing the plates is life. All right, not all of it, you’ve got to hope. It's just good to be living it."
