Kerry Katona 'regrets the embarrassment her substance abuse caused her kids'
Kerry Katona revealed she isn't ashamed of her past but regrets the embarrassment her past drug abuse has on her children.
The former Atomic Kitten star, 43, has previously spoken about using cocaine in the past. The mum-of-five has been open in the past about her previous drug addictions which spiralled during her marriage to Mark Croft. Kerry and taxi driver Mark were married from 2007 to 2011 but Kerry has said previously that their relationship was "about coke".
She also said she used cocaine as a "coping mechanism." Her nose crumbled after years of cocaine abuse, and the star is preparing to undergo surgery to fix the issue. The star will undergo an eight-hour procedure where part of her rib will be used to fix her nose after being told it will collapse by doctors.
In her latest column, Kerry revealed she's waiting for the confirmation for her surgery. She wrote: "I'm waiting for a date from Pall Mall for the reconstructive surgery I need for my nose, due to past cocaine abuse. They're going to use a piece of bone from my rib to repair it. Hopefully, that will be any day now.

The star continued in OK!. "It's not about how many times you fall, it's about how many times you get back up. The only thing is I'm always sniffing, my kids joke they can hear me in a shop before they see me! I'm not ashamed of my past, but I do regret the embarrassment it's caused my kids."

At the end of last year, Kerry took to her social media page to update fans on her nose reconstruction plans. Speaking to the camera, she said: "I went to Pall Mall yesterday for my consultation for my eye lift and Doctor Raghavan and he said to me, now we're all very aware that I've done drugs in the past years ago 15 years ago now, and he said to be 'have you ever had a nose job?'. I said 'no' and then he went 'your nose is collapsing'.
"I was like 'oh my god', so I have damaged my nose from doing drugs, I did get offered it to get fixed years ago and I said 'no, I don't want it fixed' because for me it was a reminder never to touch it again. And he said 'Would you like us to fix it for you?' and I started crying because it's like a massive 360 to where I was to where I am now and I think, wow, wow, wow, wow, yes okay I'll get it fixed."
She finished off by saying: "So obviously I don't do drugs any more, I've turned my life round and I'm very very proud of myself. We all make mistakes, you know, and I think this is a reward just to me to get it fixed, but I'm scared."
