Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez both miss Carabao Cup final in huge Liverpool blow

Both Mo Salah and Darwin Nunez are absent from the Liverpool squad for the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

The pair, as well as Dominik Szoboszlai, are both not in the squad named by Jurgen Klopp for the clash at Wembley. Meanwhile Thiago Silva is also not in the Chelsea squad for the game.

With three of their stars joining the likes of Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota on the sidelines, and depleted Liverpool have made two changes from the XI that beat Luton 4-1 at Anfield on Wednesday, with Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate coming into the side for Joe Gomez and Jarell Quansah, as Harvey Elliott, Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz start in a three-pronged attack.

The Liverpool XI is: Kelleher, Bradley, Van Dijk, Konate, Robertson, Endo, Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Elliott, Gakpo, Diaz.

Veteran defender Silva's absence in a surprise for Chelsea, with the Blues starting Axel Disasi and Levi Colwill at the back in an unchanged side from the one which drew at Manchester City last Saturday.
