Paul Mescal enjoys cosy date with Emma Canning - days after Florence Pugh rumour
Actor Paul Mescal was spotted seen out and about with actress Emma Canning sparking rumours of a budding romance.
The pair were seen in New York together looking happier than ever as they were pictured smiling showing a clear connection. Paul, 28, who is best known for his role in All Of Us Strangers was seen wearing a red jacket and a beanie hat and he teamed his look with a pair of denim jeans.
Meanwhile, Emma staved off the cold weather with a denim jacket, matching jeans an orange scarf and a blue hat. This is reportedly the first time the couple have been seen together and this comes after his public split from singer Phoebe Bridgers in 2022.

The pair were at the Netflix party together, along with a host of other names including Rosamund Pike, Lily James and Sacha Baron Cohen.

A source told The Sun: "Florence and Paul move in the same circles and have been mates for some time. If their friendship moved into something more romantic no one would be surprised." Florence split from her beau, photographer Charlie Gooch, in last October.

Paul will play the role of Lucius, the nephew of Emperor Commodus and the son of Russell's character Maximus.
Speaking to The Sunday Times about how his life will change once the sequel is released, he said: "I don’t know what the difference will be. Maybe that’s naïve? Is it just that more people will stop you in the street?" He added: "I’d get profoundly depressed if that’s so and hope it isn’t true. I’ll have an answer next year, but if [the film] impacts my life in that way, I’ll be in a bad spot."
Clear to steer clear of huge public notoriety, Paul claimed that if the sequel is a huge as it's been tipped to be, plans to star in a film that is more under the radar.

The film also stars Denzel Washington but his character has not been unveiled. It is, however, thought to be a commodity dealer who harbours a grudge against the emperor.
One thing Paul seems unprepared to consider is starring in a soap - especially Coronation Street. In an awkward exchange with Sally Dynevor, best known for her role as Sally Metcalfe, he shot down an offer to appear in the soap. Speaking to the Mirror and other press on the red carpet at the BAFTA Film Awards, he said: "Go on Coronation Street? Ah no. No. I'm alright."
