Coronation Street set for three returns as one comeback leaves character gobsmacked

Soap fans will recall that character Ryan Connor left for Glasgow last year for a new life with love interest Crystal, after his fling with Daisy Midgeley was exposed resulting in a showdown with her partner Daniel Osbourne. Daisy and Daniel have since split, with him reuniting with his ex, and Ryan's ex, Bethany Platt.

However, in upcoming scenes, Ryan will be back and his return leaves Daisy gobsmacked. And next week will see Daisy learn about the incriminating article. Prior to the bombshell, Daisy confides in Glenda Shuttleworth that there's still a spark between her and Daniel, hoping that they can get back together. Later, with Rita Tanner's birthday party in full swing in the Rovers, Mary Taylor receives a message and accidentally airdrops it to everyone in the pub. Daisy is left stunned to read "I had a Torrid Affair with my Acid Attack Hero".

Later in the week, Daniel apologises to Daisy for failing to warn her about the article but she doesn't want to hear it and instead files a complaint to Chit-Chat magazine. Things go from bad to worse when a fuming Bethany learns she has been sacked because of Daisy's complaint. Later, Bethany confronts Daisy and accuses her of sabotaging her career.

It's not long until Daniel gets involved and as the row escalates, Daisy reveals that Daniel's pupil Lauren Bolton blackmailed her and Ryan over their affair and only asked Daniel to tutor her so she could increase the pressure, which leaves Daniel reeling. Later, Daisy sulks at home but it's not long until Jenny reveals she's got a visitor and the character is left gobsmacked to see Ryan.

However, this isn't the only return as it's revealed that Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs will be back. Soap fans will recall that Fiz left for Norwich last year and hasn't been seen on screen since May. In real life, actress Jennie, 39, went on maternity leave and welcomed her third child with husband Chris Farr in April 2023, an adorable baby daughter called Doris.

Meanwhile, Tyrone left the cobbles earlier this year to join wife Fiz in Italy as she took part on a course. In real life, actor Alan Halsall had reconstructive surgery on his ACL ligament and it was revealed last year that he would be having a short break from Corrie for the major knee operation.

Lauren goes missing as fans 'work out' boyfriend's identity in 'danger' twist

Coronation Street fans will be left concerned about Lauren Bolton next week when she is reported as missing to the police. Only recently on the hit ITV soap, Lauren has spoke about a rich mystery boyfriend but she dumped him earlier this year.

However, in a recent episode, viewers saw a man arrive to see her on Valentine's Day but do not know who he is. Things took an even more worrying turn in the next episode when it was revealed that Lauren has bruises on her and that this man is very dangerous.

Soap fans will recall that Lauren arrived in Weatherfield in 2022 after helping to recruit Max Turner to an extremist far-right gang. Max was initially interested in Lauren, but things soon fizzled out between the pair when the truth about the group's plans were revealed. Her dad was one of the leaders of the group and she had been dragged into the whole thing alongside Max.

Since then, Lauren has tried to turn her life around, getting a job at Roy's Rolls yet she soon resorted to crime again by blackmailing Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor about their affair for cash. While also last year, Ryan was horrified to learn that Lauren had been posting content on O-Vidz in a bid for money as he reported the youngster out of a sense of duty.

In episodes this week, newcomer Bobby tells Lauren that he knows about her O-Vidz videos and he's worried about her. However, when Lauren clams up over the bombshell, it leaves Bobby feeling frustrated. In a bid to make cash, Lauren admits to Bethany Platt that she's skint and suggests she could write an article about how she was brainwashed by a far-right group and sell it to a magazine.

Things go from bad to worse when a worried Bobby calls at the café looking for Lauren and is left even more concerned to hear that Roy sacked her. Later, Roy calls at Lauren's flat with her wages, where the youngster reveals her plans to leave Weatherfield and start afresh.

It's not long until a worried Bobby arrives at Lauren's flat and after finding the door unlocked, he decides to let himself in. However, with no sign of Lauren, Bobby sends her a text and heads out, making sure to lock the door behind him.

Later, a worried Bobby shares his concerns about Lauren with Max, revealing how he found her flat door unlocked but there was no sign of her. And in episodes next week, when Bobby calls at Lauren's flat again to find there's no answer, he heads to the police station to report her as missing while PC Craig Tinker promises to make enquiries.

Daisy and Jenny's Rovers downfall 'sealed' amid new Carla bombshell

Coronation Street 's Daisy Midgeley and Jenny Connor's downfall could be nearing next week as Rovers Return Inn news leaves Carla Connor confused.

Last year the duo decided to put an offer in on the boozer, which had been closed for weeks, using stolen money. Viewers will recall that Daisy successfully accessed Jenny's late ex-boyfriend Stephen Reid's accounts, where he had stole from Carla's factory accounts.

Jenny was initially against Daisy's idea to use the money to buy the Rovers but soon had a change of heart after a fiery showdown with Carla on the cobbles, where she also learnt the factory was back on track. Jenny agreed to Daisy's plan but insisted they would eventually pay back an unaware Carla.

As part of the plan, Daisy said although publicly the pub would be Jenny's, privately they would be equals as she wanted her name on the lease as a co-owner. Last year, the duo learnt that their bid had been accepted with the Rovers officially theirs and they reopened in time for New Year's Eve.

Next week, the duo could find themselves rumbled as Carla overhears some incriminating evidence. In upcoming scenes, Carla waits for a client in the Chariot Square Hotel, where she chats to a rep from Waterfords, who explains that he’s meeting Daisy as she's the owner of the Rovers.

A confused Carla assumes he means Jenny but as she heads off, she is left even more baffled to see Daisy arrive. Later, a delighted Daisy tells Jenny she's secured a deal allowing them to stock Newton & Ridley. Jenny is left annoyed by the update to which Daisy points out she is co-owner of the pub. However, the two characters are left horrified when they realise Carla has heard every word... will they come clean?
