Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has admitted he would be "stupid" to want to let the England midfielder leave Signal Iduna Park, while revealing the club has yet to receive a bid for the starlet.

Teenage midfielder Bellingham joined Dortmund for more than £20m from Birmingham City in 2020. Now, after kicking on for club and country, the 19-year-old is expected to fetch £100m or more if he is allowed to leave the Bundesliga side.

While no club has tested Dortmund's resolve with a January offer, at least one is expected to do so during the summer transfer window. Player and club have had talks pencilled in this month, and further discussions are set to take place.

“Jude has made an incredible development here," Kelh told Kicker (via talkSPORT ). “With the way he plays football, his fighting spirit and his commitment, he has become a real Borussia player who identifies very much with BVB.”

"I can’t say today if and when that will be the case with Jude, and from a purely sporting point of view I would be stupid to want to give up Jude Bellingham. We’ll talk to him and his parents in due course. There is currently no pressure.

“Jude wants to concentrate fully on football. And by the way, there are no offers at all.”

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer Bellingham's father Mark a scouting role at the club, while also keeping tabs on the midfielder's brother Jobe, who is still at Birmingham. However, after finishing second and reaching the Champions League final last season, Jurgen Klopp's side are off the pace in the race for a top four finish this term.

Former England defender Sol Campbell has urged Bellingham to shun Liverpool and opt instead for a move to the Bernabeu. “ Real Madrid is obviously one of the great historical teams and the way he playing, if he goes in the same direction, he would be perfect for Real Madrid because he is very young,” the former Arsenal star said at an event in Turkey.

“He's way ahead in a lot of things, he just needs the right club and the right manager to guide him in the right direction, that's all, and the right environment, because sometimes you can go to the wrong environment and so you waste your talent for a few years.”

“If he goes to Madrid, he will improve the team, but also the club can keep him in the future. It is a club that knows what to do with young players, to make sure they are going in the right direction and continue to perform."
