Amazon Prime's The Boys season 4 sets summer release date
Amazon has finally confirmed the release date for the new season of The Boys. Almost two years since the Emmy-winning superhero series last graced our screens, Prime Video has revealed that Homelander, Butcher and co will return in just a few short months.
The Boys season four will premiere on June 13 with the first three episodes, followed by a new episode each week through to the epic season finale on July 18. It will be available to stream with an Amazon Prime subscription, which usually costs £8.99 a month or £95 a year and comes with a host of benefits like next day delivery, Amazon Music Prime, Deliveroo Plus and free delivery on HelloFresh orders for a year – while Prime Video alone can be joined for £5.99 a month.
But The Boys fans can sign up today and access all these great benefits absolutely free thanks to Prime’s 30-day free trial. This means loads of great films and shows – including The Boys spin-off Gen V, Saltburn and Donald Glover’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith – can be watched without paying a penny.

Abandoned prison which caged dangerous cartel killers found by urban explorerPrime dropped the season four teaser trailer in December alongside its official synopsis: “In season four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader.
“The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
Joining the cast for season four are Orange is the New Black’s Susan Heyward, The Following’s Valorie Curry and The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan. They join returning stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti.
The Boys has been one of Prime Video’s most successful shows, with its third season boasting a near-perfect 98 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. Its latest season was one of many shows delayed by last year’s writer’s and actor’s strikes, while spin-off series Gen V launched to positive reviews in September and has been renewed for a second season.
The Boys season four will premiere on June 13 on Prime Video.
