Kylie Minogue made a name for herself after appearing on Neighbours - but it was her music career that catapulted her into the spotlight.

She is one of the most recognisable faces in the music industry, but the label doesn't come without a huge perk. The singer, 55, has made a fortune from her singing career, selling over 80 million records worldwide. Kylie gained recognition for her musical talent in the early 90s, and managed several top-ten singles with hit tunes including, 'The Loco-Motion', 'I Should Be So Lucky', and 'Especially for You.'

Last year, Kylie shared her excitement as she geared up for her anticipated music releases and her Las Vegas residency. However, now, the 55-year-old is said to have been granted 'residency for life' by Michael Gruber, the founder of Sin City's Voltaire nightclub, meaning she can perform whenever she pleases.

A source told the publication. "Michael absolutely loves Kylie and doesn’t want to lose her. It is the first ‘residency for life’ where you come and go based on your schedule that has been put on the table in Vegas."

Kylie returned to the music scene with viral comeback hit, Padam Padam, and another number-one album, Tension. In November, she kicked off her Las Vegas residency, More Than Just a Residency, at the Voltaire Club inside The Venetian Resort in a deal that reportedly earns her around $1 million per show. The show proved a hit with fans, as the singer was forced to add extra dates after receiving an 'overwhelming response.'

She wrote on Twitter: "OMG... Sold Out!?! So humbled by this overwhelming response. So much so, that we are adding ten more dates! I know many of you missed out on a ticket. Hope you can bag your [tickets] for one of these new dates."

As a hit singer, Kylie amassed a huge fortune over the years and is said to have a reported net worth of $120 million. However, in September, Kylie opened up about the negative impact fame has had on her life.

She said: "What I think is great for a lot of people now is that there’s a discussion about mental health and the toll [fame] can take on people, I had that, I lived that,” she told Rolling Stone UK. It wasn’t a decision [to stay private], it was a reaction to protect myself and to protect my family because they would go through it with you."

Revealing how she prioritises her mental health alongside her busy life, she added: “It takes some work, and it takes some sacrifice. I can really go from doing a full kind of blitz of doing it all and then stop and recalibrate."

The Mirror has approached Kylie's representatives for comment on this story.
