Princess Eugenie was the victim of an unfortunate subtitle error that left eagle-eyed royal fans in hysterics when they spotted the blunder.

In January 2018, Buckingham Palace announced the happy news that Princess Eugenie was engaged to her boyfriend of seven years, Jack Brooksbank.

The sweet couple gave a television interview - their first together - in which they spoke about the proposal and their wedding plans.

Eugenie even spoke about her bridal gown, stating that she didn't want a dress with 'meringue shoulders'. However, when her comment flashed up on the subtitles, it instead read: "gnome orang shoulders".

"Eugenie is going for an interesting dress, then…," one fan joked on social media. The Princess and Jack completely won over viewers with their interview. At one point, Jack sweetly spoke about his wife-to-be when he described the engagement ring he had chosen for her - an oval-cut Padparadscha sapphire surrounded by a halo of diamonds set on a gold band and flanked by two further pear-shaped diamonds.

He said: "What's amazing is it's colour, it changes from every different angle that you look at it, which is what I think of Eugenie."

Of course, Eugenie did manage to find her dream wedding dress - and there were no puffy sleeves in sight. She deliberately chose a dress with a low back and no veil so she could show the scar down her spine from her scoliosis operation when she was 12.

The beautiful gown was designed by British fashion designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos of British-based label Peter Pilotto. The Princess later said: "As soon as we announced the wedding, I knew the designer, and the look, straight away."

Eugenie and Jack were married at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle on 12 October 2018. Since then, the couple have welcomed two children - August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, who was born on 9 February 2021, and Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, who arrived on 30 May 2023.

The proud mum took to Instagram to celebrate the birth of her second son, writing: "Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023. He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald. Augie is loving being a big brother already."

She shared a sweet picture of Ernest, wearing a knitted blue and white hat, asleep in a Moses basket, and a second showing August tenderly stroking his brother's head.

This gorgeous Mother's Day gift idea turns precious memories into a photo book to treasure forever
