Jamie Carragher reckons he's figured out who Kate Abdo supports after her outfit on CBS Sports gave her away.

The female anchor took up her usual role alongside Carragher, Thierry Henry and Micah Richards for this week's Champions League action. On Wednesday night Porto hosted Arsenal in the first-leg of their last 16 clash with the Portuguese side snatching a late winner.

Abdo donned a black and yellow top with Carragher suggesting she did so to mimic the iconic banana top worn by Arsenal from 1991 - 93.

The pundit said enthusiastically, before the camera panned to a shot of Abdo and the old Arsenal strip: "We found out something tonight. We found out that we haven't got just one Arsenal supporter [Henry], we've got two Arsenal supporters [Richards, boyhood Arsenal fan], would you believe it we've got three in here tonight?"

Arsenal first wore the banana kit in the season they were defending Division One champions, which was the Premier League's first year. George Graham led the Gunners who had a squad that included the likes of Alan Smith, Paul Merson and Ian Wright.

Abdo's true colours have been caught on camera previously though, proving that she is instead a Manchester United fan. She hosted a show back in 2021 when the Red Devils lost the Europa League final on a penalty shootout with David de Gea's miss allowing Villarreal to lift the trophy.

Carragher clocked that Abdo was visibly upset and joked: "When you're the presenter of a show, I'm sure you have to be impartial. Show no emotion, whether that's in victory or defeat. And there was something that we saw..."

Arsenal will have to recover from their late first-leg defeat after conceding in injury time. The Gunners will still be fancied to see off their opponents once they return to north London as they attempt to overcome their last 16 hoodoo, which has plagued them for over a decade.

Manchester City are the other English representative still in the competition. The defending champions saw off Copenhagen 3-1 in the Danish capital and will be expected to complete the job when they return to the Etihad Stadium.
