Britney Spears seems to be back with her ex

Following her July 2023 divorce from Sam Asghari, Britney Spears dove into a new relationship with her former housekeeper Paul Richard Soliz.

The world was on high alert when Paul's criminal background was uncovered, including a reported firearm possession conviction from 2020. Britney was reportedly unaware of his criminal past, but even with the new information, sources say he's "still in the picture."

Britney and Paul allegedly spend quite a few nights every week together, but the pop star reportedly wants more. A source claimed to UsWeekly: “She doesn’t like it when he leaves. [Britney] feels as though she deserves more attention, but he has to be there for his kids.”

While things are allegedly getting somewhat serious between the two, with Britney getting close with his kids, sources can't be confident that they're totally exclusive. They claimed that while Paul seems to be only dating Britney, no one really knows what's happening when they aren't together.

This doesn't help the fact that Britney's team isn't too fond of the new coupling. A source explained: “Her assistants don’t want [Paul] around; they’ve made that clear from day one. She is such a sweetheart and generous by nature, but he doesn’t want anything. He isn’t in it for that and genuinely cares about her as a person. [But] her managerial team probably thinks he is out to do something shady.”

Following her tumultuous history, this has left those around her concerned that he might be using her. Another source added: “Her team believes that at some point he will want something from her or throw her under the bus.”

Although concern is coming from around her, Paul has previously said some kind words about Britney. He told the publication: “She’s a phenomenal woman. She’s a very, very good, positive … She’s a good person.”

On source suggested that she's still seeing what's out there, but isn't seeing someone seriously. That doesn't mean Paul isn't around, but it might just not be as serious as some others seem to think. Britney gave some mixed signals recently when she posted public about her single life, despite Paul being on her radar. She wrote: "Beautiful Sunday. Hopeless romantic, understanding that being single is awesome."
