Loose Women panelist Coleen Nolan has opened up about having a "tiny bit of dry skin" on her body that she's been told could turn into cancer if it's left untreated.

Coleen, 58, revealed last year that she had treatment for carcinoma on her shoulder, which is described by the NHS as a "non-melanoma skin cancer". She has also shared that she's awaiting treatment for "pre-melanoma". She spoke about the situation on a podcast, sharing that she's been encouraged to seek treatment for a "dry" patch of skin after her first solo tour, Naked. Coleen embarked on the tour this month and it's due to end in March.

Speaking to Scott Thomas on his podcast Learning As I Go, she shared on the latest episode: "I got skin cancer [last year]. I had carcinoma on my shoulder which has now gone. And chemo cream on my shoulder so that burned that off. And then I've got this tiny bit of dry skin and I've been saying for ages, 'it doesn't matter how much oil or cream I put on it, it won't go'. [And then doctors] said 'no, that's pre-melanoma,' so that will eventually turn into ... if I don't treat it, it will turn into melanoma, skin cancer, which is worse than carcinoma. So once my tour has finished I'm gonna get that sorted."

The Celebrity Big Brother winner further commented during the interview with the former Love Island star: "I'm not being funny, I laughed when he said it because I thought, 'well of course I have, because cancer loves my family'." Several of Coleen's siblings have been diagnosed with cancer previously, including eldest sister Anne Nolan. Linda Nolan was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and it has since returned, with it announced last year that it had spread to her brain. Whilst their sister Bernie Nolan passed away in 2013, following her own breast cancer diagnosis.

Coleen went on to recall a conversation that she had with her sister Linda about her diagnosis. She told Scott: "When I said to Linda 'do you ever think 'why me'?' She goes 'no, I always think why not me? Why shouldn't it be me?'" She added on the podcast: "My sister's got cancer in her brain so me coming home going 'oh I've got pre-melanoma' seems really dramatic and pathetic even though it's not. It's still serious and if I don't treat it, it will be cancer."

Coleen said: "I can't [get treatment] before the tour and there's no rush. If they'd have said to me 'you need to treat that now' I absolutely would have." She said that the dermatologist was "so cool about it" and said she could seek treatment after the tour.
