Machine Gun Kelly has revealed his latest tattoo - and it's not for the faint-hearted.

The rocker, who is engaged to actress Megan Fox, stunned fans when he revealed the latest inking on his body - and it is huge. The massive new tattoo needed 44 needles to create. As he unveiled it on Instagram, the rapper turned rocker, showed fans his ideep side. The tattoo read: 'For spiritual purposes only.'

The huge inking takes over his arms and chest and covers most of his past tats too. The artwork forms the silhoute of a cross on his chest. His arms were decorated with a selection of new designs to accompany the cross. He still has the old tattoo which reads 'locals only' and another one of a man holding a sign saying 'I want change.' He also took the opportunity to tese new music coming soon.

Fans flocked to his page to comment - as this new tattoo shot - was the only picture on his page. One wrote: "So I'm gonna need 3-5 business days of recovery time from this. "The first time I seen these photos I sat for 5 minutes with my jaw dropped, he is just too fine."A second chimed in: "I'm so ready for this new era."

Meanwhile, just last month, the rocker was under immense scrutiny in the rock world as bands and fans alike criticized him accusing him of 'glorifying self-harm.' The backlash began when the musician released a guitar as part of the Machine Gun Kelly Signature collection with Schecter. Immediately, people were upset that the guitar was shaped like a razor blade as they pointed out its longstanding association with self harm. Concern grew about the rampant mental health crisis within the rock music scene.

Rock culture commentator Metal Birb wrote on Twitter: "I know MGK sucks and people don’t like him… but what’s up with the guitar being a razor?? It’s almost like it’s glorying self-harm? Schecter man… the scene has problems with mental health and making tools that can cause self-harm look “cool” is actually super lame. Also the guitar is hideous, but that’s just obvious."

MGK seemed to take that to heart as he started up a little Twitter battle. He replied: "You show your lack of depth by taking art at face value. this has nothing to do with any of the subject matter you just presented. so no my friend, you suck."

The star has long since been heralded as a 'poser' within the scene due to his switch up in genres. He's become a controversial figure in the community, especially due to his past controversies including alleged racism and some comments he made about Kylie Jenner while she was underage.

In another tweet, MGK further defended his latest decision. He said he will "never explain [his] art." He went on to explain that he doesn't mind being seen as "controversial," but blamed the haters for simply not understanding his vision and 'interpretting it wrong.'
