Shark's sale has cut the price of a lightweight 'fantastic' vacuum cleaner. The Shark Detect Pro Cordless Vacuum Cleaner IW1511UK used to be £349.99 but now it's only £199. It's really light and cleans deeply because it has four special technologies that help it pick up to 50% more.

It's also great for cleaning carpets and hard floors with its "QuadClean floorhead with Anti Hair Wrap". People who have bought the Shark Detect Pro Cordless Vacuum Cleaner IW1511UK are loving how strong it is and how easy it is to use, the Liverpool Echo reports.

One person who wrote a review on the Shark site said: "I bought this three weeks ago to replace a perfectly functional but heavy vacuum cleaner. I am 75 years old and becoming a bit feeble.

"This cleaner works well and effortlessly. It moves from one floor type to another without deviating from its job. The cleaner head is so light and comparatively small that it can get into most narrow sections of the floor without having to get out the crevice nozzle and moves over mats on a hard floor without moving the mat around (mostly). Instead of putting off vacuuming for as long as possible, I am now getting it out for just a little job for pleasure. Well done!"

Another person said: "Very happy with products, super lightweight and easy to use." And someone else said: "It's brilliant and worth every penny, I am disabled and has helped me so much thank you Shark for this great product."

Some people did talk about the battery life not being amazing. One person shared: "I have been using a Dyson for as long as I can remember. I couldn't afford a new one so I tried all the various machines in a local shop. The detect pro does just that, it detects surface type.

"If you leave the power on auto the suction is stronger on carpet and when vacuuming the edges compared to hard floors. The downside with the excellent suction is the battery life. Although it says up to an hour, I usually get around 25mins on mostly carpeted floors.

"This is enough to do a three bed house though, just don't leave it running unnecessarily. I was looking to get an extra battery but there doesn't appear to be a compatible one. I was also very disappointed to find out that you can not currently get extra attachments, like the car detail kit. You can just get the crevice tool. I hope this will change in the future."

You can buy the Shark Detect Pro Cordless Vacuum Cleaner here for £199 or check out John Lewis and Amazon for lots of other cordless vacuums, including the Akitas V8 3in1 Cordless Upright Handheld Stick Vacuum Cleaner, which is quite a bit cheaper at £69.99.
