The Masked Singer UK fans were in tears after watching Piranha and Fawn perform Cher's hit song Believe in the Final.

Piranha, who was unveiled as McFly's very own Danny Jones, and Fawn, who was unmasked as Natalie Appleton from All Saints, impressed the judges and viewers at home with their incredible rendition of the popular 90s hit, Believe. In fact, fans found it so beautiful they started tearing up.

They rushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on the duet. One user said: "Can Danny Jones and Natalie Appleton release this cover of Believe, please? Magical is an understatement," with another responding: "Petition for the Masked Singer to put these on streaming like x factor used to do with the lives."

"Wow Piranha & Fawn making me emosh," one fan commented while another posted: "Nahhhh piranha got me tearing up." A viewer added: "WOW! piranha and fawn should release that as a single."

Not long after the duet, Piranha was crowned as the 2024 winner of the popular singing competition. Saturday night's final saw Cricket, Bigfoot and Piranha take to the stage to belt out a few tracks for judges Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Mo Gilligan and guest Rob Brydon.

After beating Cricket and Bigfoot, it was Piranha crowned the winner and upon hearing the chant "take it off", Piranha was unmasked to be McFly star Danny, 37. The Masked Singer UK 2024 launched earlier this year with 12 new characters - Owl, Air Fryer, Bubble Tea, Eiffel Tower, Chicken Caesar, Piranha, Maypole, Cricket, Bigfoot, Dippy Egg, Weather and Rat.

Weather became the first character to be unmasked as soul music legend Dionne Warwick and next up was Chicken Caesar who turned out to be Alexander Armstrong. After Danny was unveiled and crowned the winner, he exclaimed that he had the "most amazing time."

His last performance was Celine Dion's hit, It's All Coming Back To Me. Guest judge Rob was lost for words after watching the incredible performance and urged Danny to "ditch" his McFly bandmates and go solo with his career. He quipped that his bandmates were 'holding him back'.

Upon winning, Danny said: "I’ve had the most amazing time, I can escape behind here and just be Piranha and sing these songs. I’ve learnt so much, I’m able to sing higher now just from being on this show. I am so happy, thank you! It feels surreal. Everything about this show and everything about what I've just done is completely surreal! I have become a Piranha, and no longer Danny Jones!", adding on keeping it a secret: "Very hard and even more so now I’ve won.

"It's been really difficult because I get excited by stuff very easily and I'm all in when I do something. I'm meant to be on tour. It's been very difficult, but that’s part of the fun, isn’t it?"
