Sean Dyche issues stark Premier League warning ahead of Everton appeal verdict
Sean Dyche has warned the Premier League that the whole of football will be watching when they decide on Everton ’s appeal against the 10-point deduction that is threatening their top-flight status.
Dyche believes an announcement is imminent on whether the Merseysiders have been successful in their bid to have the punishment for failing to meet Profit and Sustainability Regulations overturned or reduced.
But the Everton boss admitted he is still in the dark about a second Premier League charge regarding PSR - or whether the outcome of that case could end with the club being docked points for a second time.
Dyche said: “We’ve been given a very general timeline and will probably know over the next couple of weeks. It’s not just Everton Football Club or Evertonians. I think fans in general are scratching their heads and saying ‘hey?’
“Whatever the Premier League do, they need to get on with it. Not because I’m frustrated but because everyone in football wants to know what’s happening. Fans of all clubs want a bit of clarity on this.

“We don’t know anything (about the second charge). At the minute we’re just concentrating on the appeal and what that’s going to bring and the reality of it. Who knows what the appeal will bring - or the second situation?”
Everton have been dragged into the relegation zone by both the points deduction and a run of seven games without a win. They entertain Crystal Palace on Monday night knowing that a victory would lift the mood around Goodison and pull the Londoners into the fight at the bottom of the table.

Dyche is full of admiration and sympathy for the 76-year-old former England boss - but admitted that he cannot contemplate still being in the game at Hodgson’s age.
Dyche, 52, has influential midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure back after injury and will be back on the touchline after serving a one-game ban for three yellow cards. He said: “I certainly wish Roy well. I sent a message to (Palace assistant) Ray Lewington and he told me that Roy is okay at the minute.
“Roy is a great guy, someone who I respect greatly and rate very highly. His health is bigger than the game, of course, but we have to look beyond that because it’s a big one for us. One thing I do know is that I won’t be managing at Roy’s age. I’ll be well out of it.”
