Free handouts are a popular part of many buzzing tech deals and avid consumers will be well aware of the swirling double-data offers, Apple vouchers or free pairs of the latest wireless headphones when you upgrade a pricey tech device. And the latest offer from Currys may just be the biggest one we've seen in 2024, so far.

Currys will give you a £1,199 Samsung tablet for free, yes £0, if you buy another product from the Galaxy brand. Anyone who picks the Samsung Galaxy book4 Pro will automatically see the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra added to their online basket, but depending on your budget it may not be for you.

That's because the initial purchase of the Galaxy Book 4 Pro is high, £1,599 to be exact, and that's thanks to it being one of the newest upgrades in Samsung's fleet of laptops. Branded as Samsung's 'first AI laptop' the swanky device only launched in December 2023.

With a super thin design of just 11.6mm and a powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 processor you can see why this device would set you back thousands of pounds. The Galaxy Book 4 Pro also comes with a 3K AMOLED touchscreen display, a 120Hz refresh rate and a pretty strong battery life (of up to 18 hours).

If your budget allows for it, now would be one of the better times to buy up the laptop as you'll get a huge proportion of your money back in the value of the free Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra - a device just as powerful as a Galaxy Book laptop.

And Currys isn't the only retailer with the offer, shoppers that go through Samsung's own online store can also pick a Galaxy Tab freebie - although the value of these differ. Shoppers at Samsung will get a Galaxy Tab S9 FE thrown in (worth £389).
